Work Stream Objectives |
Developing a more integrated ‘inventory light’ E2E Pharma supply chain, from raw material right through to the patient, through improved analysis, design and segmentation capability with enabling support tools to support process equipment selection, network integration and risk management. |
||
Strands summary |
STRAND 1 to develop E2E supply chain segmentation models in healthcare based on different products, technologies, markets/channels and customers characteristics.
STRAND 2 to create E2E SC design capability, and an asset reference library for more integrated ‘plug and play’ continuous SCs; Plug & play designs and ‘rules’ e.g. equipment volume/range, product presentation, delivery channel. STRAND 3 to develop Supply Network Integration tools – open IT systems thru to patient/channel. |
||
STRAND 4 to develop the business case for E2E supply network re-design; Case for change; transformation requirements incl. responsive regulation, costs of change, the risks involved and the likely timescales.
STRAND 5 identify, categorise and assess E2E supply chain risk exposures in Pharma across the product life cycle; compare supply network archetypes risk profiles (current and future state); identify approaches and principles to design a resilient supply network model (including inventory reduction risk analysis and modified Business Continuity strategies) |
